Wiff of joy challenge #13 Sketch

This is the first time I have joined in the Wiff of Joy Challenge and its a tiny
( ok huge!!!) celebration today i became the proud owner of my very own WOJ stamp so I used Henry on my card which is also very special as its for my little boy Jack who will be 7 tommorow (where does the time go!) and he loves cute stuff so will love this image, no doubt I will have to stamp a few for him to colour lol!!!

So in time honoured tradition

'Happy bithday to you,

happy birthday to you,
happy birthday dear Jack,
happy birthday to you"

way too early to be up!

Well!! I have now decided to have one of those very irritating coughs which means that when you wake at half five spluttering everywhere you can't stop to go back to sleep, so up it is!......

so thought i would have a scout round for a new challenge ....thought i would try these ones from 'One Stop Craft Challenge' and Penny Black Saturday Challenge

One stop craft challenge was a sketch to include buttons or brads......

I really enjoyed this sketch... I used a new (for me) hanglar image which i coloured with both pro-markers and water colour pencils! as i dont have enough pm colours yet...the background is hand stamped with an art impressions stamp and pink and green papermania ink pads.......which I also used to ink round my image, mat, and cardstock....buttons and paper border are from my stash and the sentiment is made using doodlebug stick it's and sugar glitter these are fab i got the stick it's from my local craft shop ages ago and forgot i had them, they were a bargain at £2.99 for two sheets of about 3 sets of alphabets! for anyone who hasn't seen them they are double sided sticky letters you stick on to card/acetate anything really! then remove the top layer and sprinkle with glitter or loose flock they are fab!

.........and this is my card for the Penny Black Saturday challenge....

The theme was embossing... so I watercoloured this cute hedgie image and matt and layered onto papermania white core card stock added a sentiment sticker and prima flower which I coloured the edges in with a pro-marker in 'meadow green' the whole of the front of the card was put through the big shot with the 'tiny bubbles' cuttlebug emb folder..... the faux stitching was done with a sakura glaze pen,,,,,,,,,

I made this card because its my last day at work tomorrow.

I'm not leaving the company however but I am moving to a new site that is closer to home I have been at my current nursery 10 yrs..............................(must be mad!) so I made them a card to say 'gonna miss you guys'.

I coloured this Sarah Kay image with pro markers (mmmm I just ordered 5 more too lol! shhhhhh! don't tell the oh hee hee!) simple matt and layer, fiskers border punch and cuttlebug embossing folder.......which i coloured with a brown papermania ink pad.

Need to get some more sentiment stamps as I am not liking my handwritten ones!!!!!!
Note to self....must remember to take big box of 'mansize' tissues to work tom lol!!!!!!!

Forever friends challenge

This weeks challenge on FF is 'your inspiration'

So i challenged myself to make a mens card as I always struggle with them it also happens to be my brother in laws birthday in January so i thought I would use this as inspiration.

My card blank is corrugated card which I gave a double spine to give the appearance of a book and the image was one given to me by my friend Kirsten I watercoloured it which was a little fiddly! and matt and layered onto papermania white core card stock and papers which i believe are DCWV which I lightly sanded with a fine emery board then added some small gold brads and a sentiment strip.

Thanks for looking.........
