Great Layout, and a little colour tip

I saw the layout for this card on Jacky's blog and asked her if she didnt mind me using it, she said I was welcome to, so made this sweet card with this gorgeous hanglar image....

now I used Forest green and ruby promarkers to colour her coat and trousers but didnt have any darker colours to shade her with so I tried Cool grey 4 just on the darker areas and went over again with the forest green or ruby to blend and was really pleased with the results.....

Allsorts challenge 8 Shaped card

Hello wow that was a fast week and now we are into July and officially into the back end of the year!!!!!!!!!!!
Week 8 at Allsorts and this weeks challenge is from Amanda and is a shaped card (except square or rectangle LOL!!!)
and we have a fantastic sponsor

Pink Petticoat is our sponsor this week and the lovely Liz is giving away a free dowload from the boutique to this weeks lucky winner !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is my shaped card
I made this card for Jack to give to his teacher when he leaves at the end of term

I received this image from the lovely Gro (my Allsorts teamie) and it begged to be used ! well I dont like to see a stamped image on its knees so I said 'go on then'............

I hand cut the card blank using a template i cut from card then cut about 6mm off the edge and drew around it again to make the cream 'inner apple' I used a sissix die to cut the lettering and coloured the image with pro markers........ luv em to bits but I 'need' more......lol!

thanks for visiting

Birthday cards for sisters

These cards are for friends of mine who are sisters and both have birthdays in February

Papers were a free download (will try and find out where from)
Image was coloured with wc pencils and i dotted a few bits of sakura glaze pen on her head scarf and plants to help it co-ordinate with the backing paper better!
flowers, button and leaf were from my stash( i just stamped my sentiment straight onto it),
the strip of paper running through the card is Basic Grey.......

I used cream card stock and printed some brown gingham on one side and cuttlebugged the other flowers are prima and again coloured the image with wc pencils.
ribbon was from stash......

thanks for looking
