Its time for another fortnightly challenge at Forever Friends...

This week we have the lovely Jackie as our guest host and she has chosen the theme of not a card so.........

I made this christmas tree decoration (lol I had to hang it on my flower jar to take a decent photo!) the decoration is a die cut shape folded and glued to give the basic shape then I nestied and image (slightly off centre to fit the gems on ) and mounted it on a scalloped circle, finished with a bit of bergundy ribbon....

Allsorts week 29!!!

Well the weeks are just flying by will soon be christmas!!!!

This weeks challenge at Allsorts is from Lisa and she has challenged us to use buttons on our creations we are also being sponsored by Digisparkle you could win a months free access to their online store and all the DT got to choose an image from their online shop...

I paperpieced this lovely image and added some die cut buttons (thanks Kirsten hun) the sentiment is a rub on and plenty of stickles!!!

Whiff of joy christmas

Just a quickie tonight as I am up to my eyes in DT stuff lol!

but my new stamps arrived from WOJ yesterday and I coloured a few images in and thought i'd make a card this evening for the WOJ challenge which this week is Christmas yipee!!!

This was the only gnome stamp I bought the others were Henry mouse (coming soon they are soo sweet)

coloured with promarkers and the chip board letters were a freebie in a mag last year, papers are a mix of freebies from embsey and mme, ribbon was from my local wholesalers and was in a pack of five xmas ribbons 5 mtrs for 65p BARGAIN!!!!!!!

I have used a Dp that already has a built in ribbon and embelishment effect so I hope this is ok?

The image was coloured with my pro markers and the snowflakes stramped twice each time the second print looking a little faded....

Week 28 at Allsorts

This week at Allsorts its Kirstens time to choose the theme and she is challenging us to use a christmas song/ Carol as the theme

Well I finally managed to use this sweet Herb image from WOJ i've had him ages and never quite found the right challenge for him but I think he looks sweet here,

Digistamp Boutique challenge

This is a quick card I made this evening for the challenge over at DSB all you had to do was use an image from the offer of the month which this month is Alexa.....

I paperpeiced her dress using the Design paper but as it was glittered I reversed the image in my photo editing programme and printed it on the reverse of the design paper and ta da right way round christmas frock lol!!!

The theme this week is a round !

I made this sweet gift tag using some nestie shapes cut for me by Kirsten (thanks hun) coloured her with promarkers and stamped the snowflakes using my promarkers too!!

I coloured my clear stamp with the promarker and stamped this colourful snowflake background to match sweet Anya and added some coordinating ribbon......

although from the pic of my card it looks like I forgot that bit lol!

the card stock is very glittery and it hasnt really picked up its sparkle in the photo but irl its very sparkly !!!! (honest)

PBSC male christmas card

I have made this card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and they challenged us to make a male christmas card......

So I used this oppertunity to make my oh's christmas card

He doesn't really do fussy so I kept it simple

using papers I got from my goody bag in Skipton I scrunched them up (gasp!!!) to give them a bit of texture then inked round the edge with versa colour ink, a few gems and a computer generated sentiment using 'LD going nuts' font (hmm thinking this could have been a bit bigger may need to buy him a magnifying glass to lol!!)

Allsorts week 27

This week at Allsorts it is my turn to set the challenge and I think it is very fitting as I seem to have heard some very upsetting stories regarding children over the past few weeks especially through fellow bloggers and I thought it would be nice to make something for a child you know and pass it on to them.......

the theme this week at Allsorts is

This can be anything you like as long as it is to be given to a child.....

I made another easel card I think they are very effective and this sweet image 'George' from Digistamp Boutique the papers are Basic Grey and the image is coloured with promarkers which is also the prize this week a set of 4 of the luvvly jubblies!!!!!

Great Layout, and a little colour tip

I saw the layout for this card on Jacky's blog and asked her if she didnt mind me using it, she said I was welcome to, so made this sweet card with this gorgeous hanglar image....


now I used Forest green and ruby promarkers to colour her coat and trousers but didnt have any darker colours to shade her with so I tried Cool grey 4 just on the darker areas and went over again with the forest green or ruby to blend and was really pleased with the results.....

Penny Black Saturday.....white on white

Well I have truly neglected the Penny Black Saturday challenge (slapped wrists)

So I made a card for this weeks challenge, which also fits in with Colour create this week too...

White on White

I used my Fiskers threading water punch on the edges but didnt take it right off the edges thought it made an interesting border to the edges of the card, sweet PB image to finish off ...

Forever Friends ......a sketch by me!

This Fortnight at Forever Friends we have a sketch designed my likkle ol me!

******Edited at 20:54 to say that putting a photo on of the card i made might be a good idea lol...that dozey mare virus is spreading ha ha !!

This is the card I made for my Little bro well he's not so little as he will be 28 this time round ....lol! I also tried my hand at an easel card these are super easy to make and will definitely be making more of these, papers are from the MME bloom and grow collection and are fabbbbbbb!!!!!

2nd GDT card for Anyone for Anya

This week at Anyone for Anya the challenge is to use colours from your national flag well i chose to use the Union Jack and went with red, white and blue....

I used Rain Anya from the snow, rain and shine collection and found an image of the flag and shrunk it down using my photo editing programme on my computer then paperpieced her coat and umbrella...she looks like a spice girl lol...(Geri Halliwell eat your heart out!!) the Dp is Pink Petticoat Big Dots the red polka dot ribbon is from Hobby Craft and the button was clear and I stuck it on to the pink petticoat paper and then trimmed around it..to finish off I threaded some red rafia through the button.....

I've had a fab time on the GDT thanks to all the girls at AFA for having me...
