Well as I needed to make a start on my christmas cards I thought a christmas garden would do nicely!

Week 66 at Allsorts 3" ......?

This week at Allsorts Amanda has challenged us to make a project which is less than 3" square.....

I made a gift tag and added a bit of interest by overlaying/spotlighting the image and only colouring the overlay!

This is such a good way of making a quick card but still keeping that element of interest!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge.......

It has been so nice to get in my craft room this afternoon and make a card just because I could!!!

I have been so busy with card orders and cards for the shop that I forgot how nice it is to just chill and relax....

Ian is at cricket and Jack and a friend are playing in the garden so its all quiet here.......can you hear that ........yep not a dickibird!

I have made this card for this weeks PBSC which is the most fabulous sketch.... 

The frame is a chipboard shape that I covered in basic grey paper and the flowers were cut from scraps of paper I used for the background I then embossed the reverse of each flower with my ball tool and layered them up with a flower embelishment to finish, the sentiment stamp was a freebie in a magazine i inked it up with two inks brown and black so it wasnt as harsh, if you click on the pic you might me able to see what I mean.... lastly the image is a stickeroo although Jack has just been in and said 'wow! love the colouring mum' he got very close when I told him it was a stickeroo lol.....

Right I think i'm off to find another challenge so I might be back.........

My First Kenny K card....

Just a quickie ....I was asked to make some 21st and 16th Birthday cards and thought this image from Kenny K would be perfect.......

I also thought i would join in the Kenny K challenge the challenge theme is  Bold and Bright and I think the hot pink matts and those papers would be a good combo!

Apologies for the blurry pic dont know whats happened there must be a mucky lens lol.......

Week 65 at Allsorts Paper Piercing/Piecing...

Welcome back and its another fun challenge this week at Allsorts

This weeks challenge is from Kirsten and she would like you to to use either paper piecing or piercing on your projects this week.....

I chose Paper Piecing this is one of my favourite teqniques because it gives such a great effect....

I paper pieced her dress and socks with paper from the in love with Japan stack from wild rose studios i used this also for the rest of the card....the flowers were cut from an offcut from the same pad..

PENNY BLACK AT Allsorts 2nd Challenge!

Hi Guys wow we had a great response for our very first http://pennyblackatallsorts.blogspot.com/  and here we are with the new challenge for August!

Glitz and Glamour

This is one of my ne PB stamps isnt he just the cutest!!!!

I mounted him up with plain black Bazzil and swiss dots lemon Bazill the flower is a new die I bought back in July from Marriane design its great and has special slits for threading ribbon and paper through,

the glitter is sugar coated glitter from my local craft shop in lemon....
