Week 41 - Allsorts

This week at Allsorts its my turn to set the challenge this week i'd like to see your mothersday cards/gifts or cards/gifts for someone who is like a mum to you....

this week we have a new sponsor 'my favourite things' and the DT got pennies to spend on the website I chose a set of papers they are so summery perfect for this dreary weather we are having at the moment....

The image is one I have had for ages and thought she would be perfect for this card I really enjoyed using her you can find the papers here they are called 'Summer collection' by Stephanie Fizer

I used promarkers (of course) to colour the image

Flowers are prima and i have been using pinflair gel to fix all my embelishments and its just perfect its so versatile .

WOJ - A sketch by Bev...

Twice in 2 days yep i'm on a roll.....

This week over at WOJ there is a fab sketch and this was the perfect oppertunity to use this image I have had her coloured in for months now .....

The papers are the freebie MME ones that came with a mag!! (they are sooo beautiful)

everything else was from my stash I think i'm going to use this card this weekend for a christening we have been invited to but sadly wont be able to attend..

Papertake weekly

OooooH I have time for a play this week as I have the week off work, although lots of things to organise in the house and today Ian and I cleared ours and Jacks bedroom and changed the furniture around a little which now makes them feel like 2 new rooms Ian was fab in his new role of house husband lol! ( for those of you who are puzzled by this , today was Ians first day at home after being made redundant ....so I started him how I mean him to go on lol ;) .....)

and now for the play time.....

There is a fabby sketch over at papertake weekly and I thought i'd use this sweet gorjuss girl as the image......

Really simple tonight....... a few embossed panels using my daisy embossing folder and 2 die cut flowers which I really like they are a spellbinders die.... papers are basic grey and the sentiment is from craftwork cards.....

Allsorts week 40 - Tag it!

Wow cant believe we are into week 40 of Allsorts its been such fun and has past so quickly ...it will soon be our birthday and we have lots in store,,,,,,,

Onto this weeks challenge which has been set by Jules she would like to see a tag, ticket or label on your project....

I made my project a tag!... this is in honour of my son Jack who last night was a Castleford Tigers mascot (Rugby super league) and the game at Odsall between Castleford Tigers and Bradford Bulls cant wait to watch it on the tv this morning as we have taped it for him so hopefully he will see himself at the beginning of the match!

We are also being sponsored this week by 'Digital Inc co' and the DT have been able to use some of their images and was thrilled to have recieved this tiger he is perfect.......so to be in with a chance to win free images pop over to Allsorts and join in the fun....

Forever Friends.... I Heart You....

This week at Forever friends we are still in a romantic mood and we would like to see hearts on your projects

This is the card I made for Ian for valentines day the images are from a printable sheet from the forever friends hallmark web site the lettering is double sided so I stuck them to the hearts and then covered them in red glitter, a bit of matting and layering and voila. Quite a simple card as Ian is not a fussy person but i'm sure he will love this...

My first handmade paper roses!

I have followed the fab tutorial at my lovely DT teamie Brenda's blog

she has a fabulous tutorial here

I used my minds eye papers and made two roses using each side of one paper this is a fab way to make co-ordinating flowers for your projects by using scraps of the papers you use on your cards

Week 38 at Allsorts/ get distressed with buttons and a bow!

This week at Allsorts we have a great challenge for you the aim of the game is to distress and add buttons and a bow........

Well I can tell you this was quite distressing as I am a fan of clean lines but hay ho..... I used the edge of my scissors to distess the edges (note to self ...I need a tooly thing for that!)

Passion for Promarkers

This is the card i'm going to enter for this weeks PFPM challenge the theme is all creatures great and small I thought this fab High Hopes Image would fit the bill......

There was no colours to follow this week so I used my new papers and they are perfect for childrens cards and so bright and bold....

Blog Hop Challenge

Over at Brendas blog she has a special one off blog hop with some amazing prizes from

Sir Stampalot as they are celebrating moving to larger premises...

There is also a challenge to make a card with the theme of 'moving' this can be interperated however you wish

I have made this card for my friends son who will be three at the end of this week

The 'moving' part is the truck as its stated in the blog hop that a vehicle can be an interpretation of 'moving'

well I hope they like my card and fingers crossed that I could win some of that yummy candy on offer

I am also entering this card for the Craft garden challenge which is one for the boys well I will when i work ut how to add my card using the new link lol....

Forever Friends.......Inside out

This week at Forever Friends we would like you to show some of the inside of your card on the outside, this can be an apeture, cut out any way you can show theinside of your card on the outside......

I really enjoyed making this card i simply punched the apature out and layered it with a larger circle which I punched another apature out of but this time slightly off center,

I punched out several more circles and ran them all through the Big Shot then stuck them on the front randomly and stamped a cute party hat in the spaces,
