I'm back with this weeks DT project for Allsorts
This week Brenda has given us the yummy theme of....
Strawberries and cream
yum,yum......!
Well I can't say there was much crafting inspiration after seeing that just the urge to go to a fancy tea room and have a whacking great slice of cake!!!!!!!!!...............lol
I had to use this gorgeous image from last years summer collection from Whiff of Joy she is so elegant and as I didn't have any strawberry papers I decided to make my own by using the two strawberries from the same collection ....I stamped them onto some cream embossed paper and coloured them with my promarkers and voila matching DP. On the inside I printed out the recipie for Strawberry muffins but I couldn't get a clear pic so the recipie is below.........
Strawberry Muffins
6 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup sugar (granulated or caster)
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
14 strawberries, preferably fresh (but if frozen, defrosted first)
2 cups all-purpose (plain) flour
Pinch salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
Hershey's Kisses or strawberry jam
*Heat oven to 350F, 180C, Gas Mark 4
Grease a muffin tin or fill with paper liners.
*Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then add the milk.
*Chop the strawberries up into small chunks,
then stir them carefully into the batter, trying not to break
them up too much.
*Sift the flour, salt and baking powder into the bowl,
then fold in. Do not over mix.
*Fill muffin cups halfway.
Add a Kiss or a scant teaspoon of jam, then add more
batter to fill two thirds of the cup. Bake until the muffins begin
to brown and a toothpick comes out clean (about 20 to 25 minutes).
Now I havn't been able to try this recipie yet but if anyone tries it will they let me know how it turns out lol!
The sponsor at Allsorts this week is the fab digistamp boutique so why not pop over and join in the fun and maybe win some fab images!!!!!!!
I'm also going to enter this in the OSCC as their theme is no DP
Have a great weekend!!
Thanks for stopping by...
